Barbados won game against St. Vincent & the Grenadines - AFNA
Barbados defeated St. Vincent and the Grenadines 52-36 when the second day of the AFNA championships continues yesterday at the ARnos Vale courts in St. Vincent.
The Bajans led throughout 14-12, 28-21, 44-26 and and 52-36.
The starting line up for Barbados : Laurel Browne (GS) Nikita Piggott (GA) Don Small (WA), Kizzy Marvelle (WD), Sherry Martindale (GD) and Lisa Puckerin (GK).
Shooting for Barbados Piggott shot 20/23: Browne 27/28 and Bishop playing in the final quarter 5/5.
For St. Vincent , veteran skiddy Francis-Crick 15/16: christopher 7/12 and Nicole Sandy 7/9.
St. Vincent went with Skiddy Francis- Crick (GS), Nicole Sandy (GA), Leeana Lewis {WA), Saska Diamond (C), Julia Cumberbatch (WD), Curla Francis-Edwards (GD) and Vasha Adams (GK).
It was an improved performance from the Barbados team in all areas with the attack finding the shooters more consistently than they did in the T & t game.
In other games Trinidad and Tobago defeated St. Lucia 50 - 29 while Jamaica made light work of Canada easily dispatching them 69-17.
